The Departure

The meeting point time for the cruise is at 8:45 am at the hotel Preskil on the coastal road that links Mahébourg to Blue Bay. At the security post of the hotel, you will be directed towards Dany, the logistician of the catamaran.

The Return

It is scheduled around 16hr30. Taxi drivers / vans are informed and will be waiting for you on site.

Description of the Cruise for Ile aux Cerfs

After boarding, we lift the anchor and immediately a buffet breakfast is served, simple epicurean pleasure of your drink coffee along the coast of "Ile aux Aigrettes".

The sails are hoisted and flap in the wind. The catamaran becomes a silent racing car if the weather conditions allow it. The south-east coast offers sumptuous panoramas: mountains, peaks inlaid at the edge of ruins, sugar cane fields, forests, successive villages clinging to the sea cliff with a lot of magnificent pictures that could be taken.

While the catamaran crosses the fish farms, observe, perhaps you will see one or more dolphins on the lookout for some escaped fish.

The waterfalls are close (depending on the tides, we will visit it before or after lunch). The catamaran goes up the mouth of Grande Rivière as the draft permits it. A smaller boat, able to sneak between the rocks, takes over. It will sail you to the foot of the waterfall in a sumptuous scenery of granitic rocks and endemic forest - "Indiana Jones is nearby".

The time to approach île aux Cerfs has arrived. Of course, as soon as you disembark, all the commercial part of the island is offered to you and many providers will try to convince you to go for a ride on a towed buoy, fly over the island by parasailing, undertake a trip of ziplining for adults or children.
